Austin Utilities encourages you to save money, energy and the environment by using energy-efficient light bulbs!

From October 1 through November 30, residential customers are eligible for reduced pricing on ENERGY STAR-qualified compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) at participating retailers, while supplies last. Click here for a list of participating retailers.

Compact fluorescent lamps are less expensive and more versatile than ever, and using them in place of traditional incandescent bulbs could save you as much as $60 a year on your electricity bills.

You can also save on your purchase of CFLs throughout the rest of the year with our year-round rebate program. ENERGY STAR-qualified CFLs are eligible for a year-round rebate of 50% of the cost of the CFL.  Customers that receive the instant rebate during the "Be Bright" campaign are not eligible for this year-round rebate.
