Austin Utilities is offering a scholarship for local graduating high school seniors in the amount of $250 with the intent to increase the awareness of municipal utility organizations. The winning essay will automatically be sent for consideration of the Tom Bovitz Memorial Scholarship award provided by Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association. That award offers scholarship amounts of $1,000, $750, and $500. Those eligible must be, or have as a legal guardian, a customer of Austin Utilities.
