| Austin Utilities is a community-owned, not-for-profit electric, water, and natural gas utility, serving more than 12,000 customers within a community of over 23,000 people. Austin is located in Southeastern Minnesota approximately 12 miles north of the Iowa border and approximately 100 miles south of the Twin Cities metro area. |

| Austin Utilities receives no tax dollars. Instead, nearly $1.6 million in utility revenues are transferred each year to the City of Austin's general funds. Austin Utilities Board of Commission is an elected board and comprised of customer-owners who govern the utility. The Commission approves the utility budget and establishes electric, water and natural gas rates for consumers. |

| Austin Utilities' Board of Commissioners is elected by the consumer-owners of Austin to represent their best interest. The Board of Commissioners meets the second Tuesday of each month at 400 4th Street NE at 4:00 p.m. |
